WSUS -> decline -> carry on with my life, never seeing those updates on any of my machines.
It's at times like these I remind myself that the overhead of having my own update server is worth it.

Hello all,
In my in-laws they have two PS4 consoles.
My brother in-law (the youngest one) has asked me how to open ports in the router to get a better playing experience...
I've never got a console so I don't know how it works, I guess you should be able to select the ports to be used in each console and game, then redirect the traffic to the right console depending on the ports, but I've seen in the Internet (see[^]) that this can't be done...
Anyone with the same configuration has got it to work? and in case it works... how should be done?
Thank you in advance!

Define "better" - is something not working at all?

If you're playing online players are usually connected directly to each other as well as the game server, if two players can't connect (because a connection can't be made through the NAT) then the either their traffic will all go through the game server (increasing lag) or one of the players won't be allowed to join the game.
To help get past the array of routers that may be between the console and the internet you can direct the traffic on specific ports to the console, so a P2P connection can be made.

DMZ?
Or is there actually anything of value on a PS4?
|
|
|
|

but... can both consoles be on DMZ?
I've read about one in DMZ, the other one under port redirection (which doesn't sounds good to me) and also that I should go the uPNP way activating it in both the consoles and router...

Right...I forgot we were talking about two consoles within the same LAN.
Short answer: I'm afraid I don't know.
|
|
|
|

Yep...
I'll investigate a little bit further, but it looks like the router is used to receive TV casting from the ISP (something like Netflix) and therefore the router can't be accessed directly and it must be accessed via a remote web interface... Plus there are several TV's, computers and consoles plugged into the same network...
It will be fun to investigate, probably I'll won't touch a single thing, but at least it will be interesting.

Heroes of Might and Magic III, Zelda: A Link to the Past, and now Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest.
Studying has never been this much fun
What would be even MORE fun is if I actually still had any of those games (well, I got HOMM3 from GOG, but I must study)

M&M Worlds Of Xeen (M&M IV and MM&M V combined) have some good background tunes as well. Atmospheric, if rather repetitive. (And they are on GoG as well)

I think I've got all M&M's and HOMM's on GOG, although I've never played any other than HOMM 1 and 3
Anyway, the choice for next retro soundtrack was Secret of Mana

I'm on a retro gaming kick at the moment, so I'm playing my way through Worlds of Xeen at the moment (and wondering why I found it so hard the first time!)
But...for Retro music, it's gotta be Doom! Full Doom I and II Soundtracks - YouTube[^] - I still start looking round for Cacodemons when I hear those!

Must be the 90's... Why, is the soundtrack any good?

I've read that lemmings don't do that by the way.
The game is based on a lie. Childhood in ruins.
On an unrelated note, Santa isn't real either

Oh look, that's funny cos it's got the German word for leader in it and ...smirk ... that's what they called Hitler! Another hilarious comment from your arsenal?
