Strange. It doesn't appear to be on Google Streetview...
And "Get Directions" was no help at all, not even instructions via a canoe!

No. Fishing is no longer permitted from the platforms. The guys use to many many many years ago (i.e. before I started offshore), but not any more. I believe divers were getting snagged in broken lines etc. so it was outlawed.

Well it could be worse...
They could send a crew boat out and get your crane operator to try to land you with a Billy Pugh[^].
I had the "joy" of that experience once, rough seas and a 5 hour crew boat ride. Billy Pugh from the crew boat to the rig, 2 hours of work on the rig, and back onto the crew boat. Hit the deck so hard I thought I broke my legs.

Afraid not, the cranes are out of limits before the choppers are!
Sea state would not permit billy peugh (or frog) transfer either.

Look at my Article[^]
And then have a look at this[^].
My article has been blatantly copied into this Chinese(?) site and the date of the article appears a couple of weeks before my article to give an impression that the copying worked the other way round . Now where are the hamsters?
