It used to be when I worked full time , I just plain forgot sometimes or got pulled into some pointless meeting - I handed over my unreliable mantle to GU ( a worthy replacement ) a good while back and he hasn't disappointed

It'll probably come back ... when someone realizes there is a problem!

It appears to be available again, but I noticed a couple of extensions to enable Silverlight projects in VS 2017, 19, and 22. My question - I thought Silverlight was no longer supported in any modern browser (as in, no browser plugins) - how can someone find such extensions useful?

I rather enjoyed my time in silverlight, and was annoyed to see it fall out of support.

I won't disagree with that. I just have to question the sanity of anyone who makes that sort of effort to keep using dead/unsupported technology.
Well, using is one thing...but developing new stuff using it is another altogether (we were talking about something to facilitate that, weren't we?)

Never thought such a word existed except in a South African context.

One could consider the medical context as well.
I think the South African context evolved from the medical context of a famous individual.

Yes. It is from his autobiography that I first heard this word some decades ago.

It is actually Portuguese and does not relate to Latin or English origin. Original name was a bit different and later on it was changed to adapt to local residents. Interestingly, the words you are referring belong to different languages which kind of represents SA's culture. Too many languages and cultures living together. I will get down my philosophy horse now and climb make some tea horse.
