Nice to see that, fundamentally, nothing's really changed in 40 years. The kids have iCrap and MP3 players; we had TouchTone DTMF phones and 8-track tapes. But the attitude hasn't changed that much, excepting that little work ethic thing, which seems to have gone extinct. Oh well, good riddance. Obama will be happy to pay for them with the earnings of the working minority until we all figure out that welfare is a better deal than going to work. I give it ten years...

Or teen attitudes, for that matter?
We'll have people starting on about their ayatollahs and Chairman Mao in every thread, next.

I just don't get how a rant about one's local government fits into a thread about an Australian comedy song that's on the topic of the behaviour of teenagers.
Maybe we should involve the plight of the proletariat in every thread, too.

Brilliant. Also applies to political rhetoric. That card was played a couple of days ago in Oz as it is every few months.

Hey, I'm not the one railing on about some presumed inadequacies of a government in a thread about a very amusing song about teenagers!
The song's brilliant, but what have US government policies got to do with it?
