I nominate the hamster dance song as CP's Official Hold Music (aka OHM )!

Nah: In the air tonight[^] - but for that "authentic hold music" feel, at 2:53 precisely it should cut to an insincere announcement that they are sorry it's taken so long - and the track resumes at 4:19.

That's a good one!
If it isn't solved in a couple of hours - and I'm sure it will be - I'll take it.

Can you judge the worth of your work?

|
|

I mean it is not really you who decides that, is it?
It is a negotiation for a reason and even if they pay what you ask for, do you really know you asked the right price?

Well, you're paid what you both agree to, so if you're not being paid what you think you're worth...you only have yourself to blame for that.

Can you measure the value of your life?

Yes.

I can't judge its worth, but I can judge its value.
To me, it gives a salary, a sense of accomplishment and self-worth, and indirectly contributes to my having a wife and children. To my employer(s), it gives something to sell. To their customers, it is a tool that allows them, in turn, to perform their work or their leisure activities.
There are many more measures of value that I could use. To which of them do you refer?

Quantifiable and measurable metrics.
The point of me asking this question is that I believe most people will undervalue themselves/ their work in monetary terms.

Do you? If that was the case, why would anyone ever ask for a raise?
