As for Germany is considered, I think there is pay parity as long as you are port of the rates set by union. Any employee, is assigned a grade and the pay associated with that grade is given to the person irrespective of the gender. But as people move into the corporate ladder then there is imbalance in pay because they are out of the union's purview.
