It was a bunch of Jawas sitting around the server, performing rituals and chanting, to fix a memory leak. In their religion you don't do that by looking for the bug in the code. Instead, you perform some rituals to please the garbage collection. And I thought that cargo cults only existed on islands in the Pacific.

It rather depends on the hours, I'd have thought.
I learnt to code on a similar length course which was 40 hours a week - that's probably a lot more coding tuition (600 hours plus) than a CS graduate gets over a 3 year course.
98.4% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Yes, very much. There is a senior level developer at work who sent his son to one of those $15,000 bootcamps and the kid could no get a job afterwards. The kid did not have any previous experience or university studies.
I get the total cringes when a student spends years at a for profit institution university and goes into major debt, sometimes 6 figures, and still cannot get a job. Obama went after them and even the military cut off the GI bill, but they're making a comeback.
