Fine, make it a flag then.

I do it. Over and over and over again. I'm saying most app developers don't go through the hassle of doing it. And more often than not, that's exactly what would be the most time-saving approach in most situations.

It's the spirit that moves them. They therefore can only tell you where the gin was.

Just before christmas, I was out shopping with the missus, and she could tell that all the people, the christmas decorations and music etc was getting on my nerves...
So she asked me: "Where's your christmas spirit?"
And my answer was: "What do you mean? It's right there on the shelf in the liquor store!"

All of the monitors here are one-legged.

I thought that monitors have four legs, a long tail and lots of teeth. Look here: Monitors[^]

How about this for a twist on the CCC theme?
Two linked clues, provided without definition, leading to two synonymous answers:
1) Insanely nice record, we hear ... (9)
2) ... covering hit with upgraded intro (4,4)
Edit:
Well no-one got it and it's miles down the page now, so the answers were:
1) Cinephile (insanely nice = CINE + PHILE soundex FILE = record)
2) Film buff (covering = FILM hit = CUFF - initially upgraded, the C changes to a B)
