Woz is happy with his 8 which he says is the same as the 7 which he says is the same as the 6. He won't be upgrading to the X anytime soon.
He's right and wrong about the 8, though. Wireless charging is a much needed (and late) feature that's finally nice to have. Also the 7 is waterproof (again, important and late to the party) whereas the 6 isn't.
I personally think Steve his spinning in his grave about the notch in the X. A silly unnecessary compromise.

I'm still on Season 4, Episode 15 (they just killed off the two young girls.) Got sort of bored with the grunge. I'll get there eventually.

Over the seasons, the plot holes have gotten massively bigger and more numerous and the characters dumber, which makes it increasingly difficult to binge watch the latest season, so I still have Season 7 queued up.
(I've got a few shows like that, including one that I know goes completely off the rails and wasn't renewed, which makes me waiting until I otherwise drained the queue and even then, I'm not sure I want to bother.)

I just bought a Raspberry Pi 83-16561RK Broadcom BCM2837 64-bit ARMv8 Quad-Core Processor at 1.2 GHz 'kit' - my first venture into the world of such things. It's comes with all you need (power supply &etc) so I can eliminate some of the prep until I know what I want to do with it. I saw it. I wanted it. As of a few seconds ago, my credit card has been charged for it.
For better or for worse, I'm about to learn something.

I just received mine today, I've had several versions of the Pi and it's a lot of fun.
I haven't done anything but play with it up until now but there are a couple of projects I'm considering.

Also, Derek Malloy is a god when it comes to this stuff, he originally wrote the bible on the Beaglebone but now has a book on the rPI. Highly recommended, even if the book costs more than the rPI!

The only difficult part will, I fear, be somehow getting Mrs. Wife to understand that what I'm doing is more important than the items on her (auto-renewing) To-Do list. Getting away with that will surely add to the fun.

Well, I went and had a stroke. No ToDo s since then.
We did get flooded in late August with the hurrican in Houston.
My step daughter was frantic calling al;l over thinking I drowned. The weater was only ankle deep and I slept through everythinbg and woke up when the watewr was receding.
I told here I survived a massive stroke, It'll take more thabn a little watewr to do me in.
WE had to replace all our floors and sheetrock, but we're moved back in again and my desktop computer is working, but
I lost everythibng else in my office.

Just tell her your working on an IoT application that will help you manage her To-Do list everywhere, with GPS AI to alert you when you approach a store for a "to-do purchase" and a grocery list when at the grocery store, auto-downloading of the kids soccer game schedule from the school website so that you never ever again forget to pick them up, and NSA portal for remembering important dates like anniversaries, birthdays, and mother-in-law birthday.

She'll never believe any of that.
It took her insistence to get me as far as carrying a flip-phone. If I want to be annoyed, I see no reason to leave home for the privilege. She also knows I'm a privacy freak - IoT is not something I'm likely to be into - at least whilst I have a choice.
If this were easy to do, everyone would have already figured it out.
