Since it seems we will be without voting for some time, I propose we use other means to vote.
Sure, we could just reply to messages we like or dislike and say as much, but that'd be too easy.
Instead, I thought I'd make it interesting, and I wanted to help handle the load issue Chris has created, so I've created this survey to kill two birds with one stone:
Code Project Survivor
Who will you vote off (see results)?

I guess Chris couldn't take the load.

How damn frustrating it is to not be able to univote you for not including me in the list of beauty-contest finalists for the coveted title of "Lounge Excommunicate."
Of course that's really just a macho-pose masking a fake threat: underneath that: I am hurt, hurt, hurt.
But, I will take this as: an opportunity to re-think whether "fame," or, "notoriety," on the Lounge is a goal I should aim for, and, whether: 'tis the "milk of human kindness," or, "sheer obnoxious depravity," better lubricates ascension into Lounge stardom.
So, I thank you for that.
best, Bill

I would have added you to the list, but your nickname would have exceeded the maximum character limit for individual answers.

Though you're obnoxious enough to deserve a place on that list you just don't have the nescessary posting frequency. This reasoning might change if the deciding metric would include things like "extremely long posts without any significant meaning".
So yes, I do agree that you, above all, deserve a place on that list.

Thanks, Manfred, I will certainly consider the issue of frequency !
It's small gifts of friendly support, like your message, that really do encourage me to keep on.

Sorry that I can't upvote your post right now.
I'll do so when the feature returns.
While I do find most of your posts too long I do appreciate some of your views of things.
Regards,
Manfred

I wonder if those people will vote off people who haven't figured out how to CTRL+Click (or, on a Mac, CMD+Click).

I missed some stuff... Why can't we vote in the lounge and why did my author rep drop by almost 500 points?

See the sticky at the top of the Lounge and the post Chris made in Site Bugs / Suggestions.

Still doesn't explain the 500 points drop...?

We had a meeting about you, and discussed it thoroughly.

I am so disappointed I did not make it in your list. Even more than Bill.

You made it on the list but were voted off within 17 seconds.
Happy now?

Wouldn't allow me to vote none-of-the-above.
But it does seem odd that there's a load problem when I start participating again after a two month break.
