The Doctor's face in the opening title sequence and a hot young companion. All in all, very promising and there's no spoilers from me this night.

I like the look of the new TARDIS.

Me too, it just looks like an actual spaceship again, and it has cool details like the Gallifreyan iconography on the walls and the "aquarium/liquid metal thing" under the floor.

I've been keepi away from any Dr. Related news, as we get the episode later tonight I think.
But I did hear that the new companion is the young lady who we all (well, me at least) fell in love with in the episode where she turned out to be a Dalek in disguise.
I do hope that is the case

While I wouldn't turn down an opportunity for scary-clad coupling, I can assure you mines a true love, and not lust.
Honest.

Is it just me?
I've been a Dr Who fan since the 1980's. One thing I've noticed with the 'new' Drs has been a lot more tendency to depend upon action and special effects instead of story line. I still watch, but my wife will only watch episodes from the first six doctors.
Where are concepts like Logopolis and Castrovalva ? Rose was very good - closest thing we've had to Lela in a long time.
I've not seen the latest, so without commenting on it, is anyone else somewhat disappointed?

I thought this was one of the better stories and certainly the best of the Christmas ones.
Clara is fine. Very fine indeed.
Nice touch about having the great intelligence back.
And as for getting Gandalf himself to be part of it, superb!
Looking forward to the rest of the season.

And a nice reference to the London Underground in there. A real pleaser for the long term fan.

I don't think this is a spoiler.
Most shows are an hour long and at the end of the hour, I says to myself, self, they cannot end it here. Then I noticed the episode was longer than an hour. Phew!
Schenectady? What am I doing in Schenectady?
