When our A/C inexplicably stops working, it is usually the drain pipe that takes water that forms on the condenser to the outside, that gets clogged. There is some kind of slime that grows in the pipe. Pouring a cup of chlorine bleach into the reservoir that catches the condensed water every couple of months, helps a lot.

Consider yourself lucky if you have a cutoff switch for the drainage. Very recently, I had the drain for my downstairs unit clog completely to the point that I had to dismantle the whole assembly (having 2 90s and a 45) to clear it out. I replaced all of those joints with a piece of clear plastic tubing which eliminated the elbows and allows me to see at a glance if there is a problem. Luckily, I caught it before it made a real mess.

The US of A sold Britain and it's allies all it could and then stepped in at the last minute to claim all the credit as usual. Since the UK, and France, Belgium and The Netherlands have been paying you back in hard currency for decades ever since I think the US can be officially classed as "war profiteers". I understand that the UK paid the last installment just last year ("bail money"?); so how will the US survive now without Europe paying off the war debts (known by some as "usury")? The US was in a pretty poor state economically just before WWII and it was the best thing, economically, that could have happened for it! Especially with US statesmen such as Joseph Kennedy stirring things up against Britain...
OK, I'm not going to get into it any further. I quite like the US and anyway, many countries have things in their past that they would rather not talk about. Germany for example, until recently, was a great place to live.

You can infer it that way, yes.
As a first gen American, I am sensitive to others who move here and continue to think their previous country's the greatest in the world. Just don't get why they'd want to live here in that case.

I have lived in five countries, England, Sweden, Germany, France and the US and in all but one of them I have felt fairly safe on a day to day basis... all of them except the US, actually. There seems to be a background threat of violence more often in the US than any of the other places I have lived (or visited, for that matter... although I don't plan on going back to Tunisia any time soon!) There are many areas I have been told, "don't go there after dark" and I see the police going around in pairs of cars, not just one policeman (with no gun) on foot like it used to be in England.

From my perspective, where I moved from South Africa (where we never felt safe and had several guns in the house) to the USA, where I never even felt the need to own a firearm, the USA is a safe place. But of course you have unsafe areas that you have to avoid. It's just matter of using common sense. Thanks, but I am OK in the good ole USA!
