Lock the bolt to the rear, run the cable up the mag well and out the ejection port. Gun is locked.
Let's be clear on something. He didn't pick the lock. He used the lock wrong and opened the trigger latch with a toy to release the weapon. He didn't use the lock as it was designed.
He said "I should note that there is not enough cable to wrap all the way around the gun". There isn't supposed to be. There should be just enough to get up through the magazine well. There is enough cable if used correctly. Had he locked the bolt to the rear and put the cable through the magazine well and out the ejection port, it would not be loadable or removable from the lock itself.
With the bolt locked to the rear and the cable up thrugh the mag well, the gun is not loadable nor capable of being fired.
I own many guns. They usually come with some form of cheap lock by law. If someone wants to, they're gonna get in. It's a DETERANT, nothing more.
Used correctly this lock is acceptable.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
Everything makes sense in someone's mind.

To be honest, he DOES follow the intructions. They are visible enough in the video.
And there is no hole in the rack holder for the cable to go through the magazine well.

Cannot see any hole through the magazine well, there is one horizontally at the bottom. But if you want one vertically through the well, you'd have to drill it yourself.

other big differences include
one's just a dopey looking sheep with a long neck, (often coiffured to look like a demented poodle)
the other is a source of good karma if eaten every day.
after many otherwise intelligent sounding suggestions that achieved nothing the nice folks at Technet said the only solution was to low level format my hard disk then reinstall my signature. Sadly, this still didn't fix the issue!
