I got over this once I started thinking about why I was so uncomfortable doing that. Was it because I was worried other guys would see me, holding what was obviously my GF's bag? Nope, I realized they'd just be envious once they saw my GF. Was it because I was worried other women might see me holding my GF's bag? Nope, gallantry never goes out of style.
Then again, I do live in a location where utilikilts[^] are commonplace enough not to even be noteworthy anymore. Gotta love that pioneering spirit out here on the NW coast.
