Actually, I have developed few apps in VS2012 in Win7 and also VS2010 in Win7. All of them worked in Ultrabook.
 
Then I created a WPF project in Ultrabook. Changed Target Platform to 8. Added run time for sensors. Executed. Failed to initialize the stream. Copied the same project without changing Target platform in Win7 64 and project got compiled. ( In earlier case solution targeted for 8 did not even opened in Win 7).
 
SDK samples compiled in Ultrabook only after installing VS2010 !
 
I have checked all the versions, references and they are working fine. As it stands out, I am totally lost in the riddle. Have you been able to work with WinRT sensors and PCSDK together?
