Sooner or later I'm also going to need a fuselage. They have some nice ones here.[^] I think everybody and his dog fly around with the Airwolf, so how about a Cobra, a UH-1D or a MI-24 (on the third page)?
I used to be in a club that had a lot to do with flying, called Luftwaffe. There were many people there that brought their RC models to fly after duty and I picked up a little. I always wanted to get started on my own, but there always was something missing. No room to build and repair, no time, no money. That has changed now and a few months ago I got myself a cheap little toy copter and had no problems. Then I tried a single blade fixed pitch and still had no problems.
The problems came with one that was too big to fly inside, but too weak to deal with even a little wind. This one sometimes becomes uncontrollable and had to endure some hard landings. It has some minor damage, but it still can fly.
Let's say I'm still learning and have at least destroyed no helicopters up to now. I chose this one because it's not too expensive, easy to repair and is considered to be reasonably robust while not yet being too hard to fly. We shall see.
