It seems I may have to find another nominee to get behind for this years awards. 
In an amazing stroke of luck and good fortune, the fella that was run over actually survived - albeit with spinal injuries and broken legs. There is no expectation that he will walk again.
Unfortunately, to temper this encouraging development - he has had children. They will have to deal with this for the rest of their lives too.
So clearly, disqualified on both accounts. Not dead, not prevented from contributing to the gene pool.

I currently use VS 2010 and was considering upgrading to VS 2012 but then a few days ago I heard about VS 2013 coming out in november.
Shall I wait for VS 2013 or get VS 2012 now? I mainly use VS for C and C# and a bit of WinForms occasionally.

Just stick with 2010 unless you have a pressing need to upgrade. If you do have a pressing need then jump straight to 2013.

I agree with the other member. I've used Visual Studio 2010 for the past two or three years. I don't consider upgrading unless there is something important that they have added, especially as 2012 has a silly layout and supports Windows 8 more than other versions.

No. You can create 64 bit executables if you install it on a 64bit OS; but Visual Studio itself is a 32 bit process regardless.
When VS2012 was coming out of of the VS leads explained that the reason they didn't have a 64bit version out then was that there was a lot of old code that would need detailed review/rewrites to make 64bit compatible and that there was lots of lower hanging fruit that would improve performance for 99% of users. The plan then was that any bit of code that was worked on would be made 64bit compatible at the same time as the changes the required it to be modified until they'd worked over almost the entire codebase; at which point they'd backfill the rest.
With VS apparently going to a yearly release cycle their changing the plan and rushing a 64 bit version seems unlikely because it would probably eat all of a dev cycle leaving no other improvements for them to brag about on MSDN and Channel 9.
