Gmail was up and down all day today. There was a link on the error page that said: 'Show Detailed Technical Info'. I clicked it. Here is the 'detailed' technical info that I saw: 'Numeric Code: 5'.

I just wish IDEs would implement the:
You just typed ctrl-shift-x - I have no idea what you were trying to do - select the command you want to bind to that...
That way I can just start using it and it will map the keystrokes I use to the commands I want to do...

So for a year I have switched to and been working on Linux. What fun, nice, simple, predictable, logical, 'does what it says on the tin' kind of an OS. Been fixing all sorts of nasty kernel bugs, and generally having a lot of fun.
Now I have had to take a look at one of the firms Windows drivers, and I am trying to run it through the WHQL test kit...
What a pain in the arse the WHQL kit is. It is SO hard to get it to install properly. SO hard to get it to run properly. SO hard to get it to produce consistent results, that it reminds me exactly why I got totally pissed off with working with Windows; it has so many hoops to jump through you forget what you are actually trying to achieve and get utterly worn out and frustrated in the process to the point you feel like taking a claw hammer to all your Windows PCs.
Christ I hate Windows. It makes me want to puke.
Now I know why Mark Russinovich looks so knackered.
