Dij the Cat is happily eating Sheba cat food at the moment, after three years of only eating Whiskers Fish from a tin - so I was looking to see if I could get the new stuff cheaper online.

Too pricey!
For the cats running loose in my neighborhood, I mix tuna, ground glass, lead shot (#8), and moisten with a little ethylene glycol. They seem to really love it and must tell their friends, as I get new ones regularly. Odd, though, that I get so few repeat diners in my yard...

I know you guys are only joking (maybe?) but be careful this is the WWW and I'm sure you will annoy a lot of cat lovers typing those things.
I have two motion sensitive water sprayers to cover the whole garden, they are harmless and I don't see any repeat offenders either.  Much better option.

I noticed recently that all the links on McVickers site stopped working. He does have a facebook page[^] as well.

The German computer magazine c't has tested this recently (issue 15 of this year). Chrome is indeed the browser with the highest system load followed by Firefox and IE which has the lowest load. All browsers draw less current when running on battery powered systems.
But setting the clock tick rate to 1 ms will not slow down modern computers significantly.

Microsoft also talked about forthcoming Windows devices, including $99 tablets, and even had some news about the next version of its operating system, Windows 9.

During the keynote, Microsoft's chief operating officer Kevin Turner told attendees that the tech giant was "really listening and taking feedback" about the next version of Windows from consumers, developers, partners and business customers, so that sounds hopeful. Windows 9 will also offer "game changing functionality for enterprise", apparently.
So it's been mentioned a bit.
