Mrs. Wife asked me to get a couple of Adele tickets for a show next fall. Tickets went on sale at 9am my time, so I went to the ticketmaster web site, found the event, clicked on 'show tickets' and for the last 27 minutes have been watching a screen which refreshes every 30 seconds or so telling me that I am 'in line to search for tickets...we'll keep the line moving as fast as we can...'.  Can't their servers handle more than one customer at a time???? ...and I was hoping this would make Christmas shopping a lot easier this year!
And No, I'm not going to the show. I like Adele OK, just not really my cup of tea.
I suppose I can just keep that browser tab open all day if I need to in the hopes that I might finally get through. Fingers crossed.
Edit: I finally got through only to discover that both dates for the event are completely sold out! It looks like I failed miserably at that task.

I find her dull too, I prefer female voices like Tarja Turunen, Heidi Parviainen, Cristina Scabbia, and now I have a brain black-out so I can't remember the others.

My missus got tickets for her last week. She had a bout three browser windows open and got them after about 3 hours of trying.

I'm now stuck at a malfunctioning captchca where the text shown is 'Solve Media Puzzle Challenge' with a little picture icon beside it! Entering in the text displayed fails! 15 minutes later the captchca seems to be working correctly, but entering the text displayed fails...I could see once, but a dozen times in a row??? I even threw quite a few expletives at it, and a sql injection just for kicks. Finally after half an hour, I switched to IE and it works!...but now no more tickets! Oh well, I was able to get one at least, so now I only half-failed at the task!

If you wait till nearer the time - you should be able to get one for relatively cheap. People buy them to sell on at an extortionate rate and try to immediately sell them on for a huge profit. Of course most people won't pay it so they get stuck with tickets they don't want. As the concert draws nearer they reduce them so you should be able to pick them up for face-value.

90% of the tickets will have been bought by "scalpers", so you'll still be able to go as long as you don't mind paying 50x the ticket price. These people are ruining the live music industry.
