Last night I posted an update for a web application that included new sorting features on most of the datagrids. (thanks tablesorter.js!) Anyhow, part of the new design are indicators in the column headers to show the sort status and direction.
I've just received two emails from the client that it looks great except the indicators are reversed for the sort directions...except they're not! Ascending is represented by a down arrow and Descending is an up arrow...just like it is in Excel and everywhere else! I shall give them what they ask for...even if it doesn't make sense.

Ascending is normally a triangle pointing up and descending one pointing down.

I stand corrected...I just checked the tablesorter samples and you are right. I was thinking more about the flow of data down the page, as in smallest to largest would point down for ascending and vice-versa. No wonder I had to switch the code to make it work like I wanted! Like RyanDev said, I was up too late apparently!

No, you've got that backwards. Ascending even means going up and so the arrow should be pointing up. Descending means going down and therefore the arrow should be going down.
I think you were up too late working on it.

But the triangles have a "small end" and a "large end" -- is the "small end" above the "large end"? Or below it?
I always wind up clicking the arrows several times and stop when I see it the way I want, regardless of the arrows.

There are two ways to do the arrows and neither of them makes sense to me. I suggest avoiding arrows, but I have no alternative suggestion either.

OK - it is skating a bit close to a technical question, but really I just want an opinion on what word to use...
Say I have a class that is a Projection and I want it to do its thang and return the result, what should I call that ?

Project seems fine to me, but you could always use Run as you are running the projection.

As POH says or ProjectEventStream as that is what it is doing.

Dunno. They say it rains every day in Blaenau Ffestiniog (it certainly has every time I've been there!) so it seems a little strange that 80 days is the official record!
