Is that a joke?
P.S. (non native speaker here watching the message )
P.S. 2 (yes I know that if you have to explain a joke it is not funny anymore, so I will just pass and go to have some dinner, you don't need to explain it )

That's OK - it wasn't funny to start with ...

I made a typo. You have to say the correct words out loud. Typo is fixed now.
Unless you're suggesting you don't find every one of my posts delightful, entertaining, and exciting?

Weeeeeeellll, you're gonna kill me for the confusion. I made a typo and then went into a meeting. You're welcome.

I started walking around outside saying "right up lights" out loud, a lot.
So, I am writing this post now from my brand new padded cell, where I will be finishing out the summer in.

So yeah um.... about that. There was a typo. Probably could've saved the padded cell if I typed it out correctly. You may have lost your freedom... but I can offer you this emoji as condolences.

"rise up lights"
"razor blades with an Australian accent"
Not even similar.
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

It's a joke everyone.

Yeah, it's a just play on the stereotypical accent. I'm sure there are differences in real life. Like, not everyone in the southern US has a deep twang in their accent.

Very much so. Also, the slang is the same yet different. For instance, Outback and Northern Queenslanders tend to join multiple words into one. eg: Waddaya think? = What do you think?

I thought we hadn't had a "hidden word" clue for a while - but I also thought it might last longer than four minutes ...

62 is way too young for anyone to die.
WTF does this actually mean? Quote: Moolenaar had died two days prior because of a rapidly spreading medical condition
People in their quest for privacy...
Just state in plain English what the actual F he died from.

Slacker007 wrote: People in their quest for privacy... Yeah, I don't get that either. We have HIPAA for medical records for privacy when a doc is trying to save your life. But, we have very few laws around consumer privacy and are intentionally treated like a product. So, if we want to live let's make it hard... but it's cool to exploit you for money.
About the worst thing I can think of from embarrassment, etc. is saying homedude died of a compound effect of 34 STIs, but is that really embarrassing? He'd be a hero IMO.

Even if he died of AIDS or syphilis or even something embarrassing, it has beneficial impact to the world to know what he died from.
I am all about privacy, of course, but knowing the exact cause of death should not be private; it should be public knowledge, IMHO.

Well, the hospital should track that data and have it anonymized.
I say this knowing nothing about the process. But, it's the Internet so I must pretend I'm an expert.
