I have an ASP.NET (2.0) site. I am on my dev box using V Studio 2008 and IIS. I have a separate User Control project that gets called from a javascript function in the default.aspx page. The User Control project is in another solution.
The application is running as expected. The user control is being called and all is well. Well not quite.
I am unable to step into the User Control project, i.e debug it. I can set breakpoints but they never get trapped. I can debug all other areas of the site both in script and code behind without any problems. The User control gets built in DEBUG to the same location as the default.aspx page.
Things i have already tried:
Enabled script debugging in IE.
Added the User Control project to the same web site solution
Attached debugger to running instance of IE from Visual Studio
Enabled debugging on the site.

Dear Techies,
Please help me out in resolving the following issue.
My application is working fine in IE but not in Firefox.
1. Link buttons are not working (doPostback)
2. Calendar control is not working
3. All the Validations are not working

There is a site www.rentacoder.com which have programmers and designers that you can pay very reasonable fees to that would be able to help.
You need to be looking at books on:
CSS,
DHTML,
Photoshop or Paint shop Pro.

I second what Carl said. Pick up a few books on the doing web design. Once you have it mastered well, then it is another skill you can add to your resume.

Hi!
you may already have this program or you may have photoshop (Which is More Powerful), but Paint.NET is a very easy-to-use yet powerful photo and image editor that you will surely get to grips with quickly. Get it here (It's Free).
Hopefully this will be a whole lot simpler to start off with (Compared to Photoshop (Which is expensive) or the GIMP (Which is quite complex)) but will retain the power you need. Please note that Paint.NET requires the .NET framework.

I used this in a project where we needed to create xml files from given schemes. The good thing here is that you can get the source code, so that you can modify the generation process.

This could be accomplished easily if you have BizTalk Server 2006 installed ... it installs a tool for XML Schema files in which you will be able to right click and then click Generate XML File which is a sample XML file of your schema .. unfortunately I tried previously to have this tool installed independently but with no luck ... and I don't expect you to install BizTalk Server 2006 for that  ... so I recommend using the XML API's as Mr. SeMartens said in this post.

Hi all,
I am new to JavaScript. i am making a page which shoud have a div floating. i changed the position to fixed which solved it but now i want to change the position to the absolute on condition that when the scrolling div comes to a certain area i can change it is that consider the code

the javascript i used for this is as follows it works but the problem is i am using constant values it will work if the window is of specific size is there any way to get the end position of the parent div

I agree. When looking at most knowledge base articles on just about any real topic, the length of those articles would just be beyond the scope of a forum post. I wonder if it is people hoping for a quick silver-bullet, cure-all, answer; rather than having to do some serious reading.

At least sometimes no doubt. Another possibility is if their origins are Drag and Drop they just may not have a clue about anything. Therefore everything must be solved by having a set of directions. Connect part A to Part C using Part B. What do they do, who cares, just follow the directions and ship it. If it works do it.[^]
