Yeah, it's that time of day again...
A suggestion - we're trying to edit the questions and replace the title with "SPAM: Please report it and the OP" or similar, and also wreck the links - if there are no links then there is no point in them posting it and hopefully, they will get bored and f**k off...
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

Looks like they are turning towards the forums to post spam messages like this[^]. There are a few spam messages in the lounge right now.

I did this today (deleting the links in the posts). It is more work and several times the spammer went back in and added the links again, so I had to modify again.
Anyway, when I compare the "View Count" of the questions, the ones that had the links stripped out had much less views (in general) than the ones where they were left in. It is not a clear result as some of the questions with high view counts might simply have had the keywords people out there were looking for, but if we all try to do that, it might work in the end.

If nothing else, it is keeping them busy checking and editing the message that will vanish soon, so they can't post new rubbish while they are doing that.
If we can make it not worth their time to post, they should go look for easier targets. (I am assuming they are paid-per-click or similar)

This is not for the first time, as far as I remember. I randomly checked several "answers" and found that they are not the answers at all, just the comments placed on the page of halabella's questions.
What is outrageous, those "answers" are formally accepted. And this is after I removed some of such false answers. Originally, there were more cases of such abuse.

In view of mass character of recent attacks, I'm trying to accumulate all references to offender's accounts in one merged report message, review those messages and rewrite them from time to time to put remaining and new offenders on the top of the messages in this forum. I suggest you do the same instead of reporting one or two in several separate messages. This way, we will spot your reports sooner and spend less time on abuse reporting.
