Yes, I just closed the same page, thanks. My point was, MSDN takes me to a Windows 8 page and the search is NOT searching just Windows 8 content, so it's an endless loop.
I got out of it using google and refining my search. But, that I need google to search MSDN effectively is surely not a feather in Microsoft's cap ?

That's why I quit using MSDN because it's a circle jerk...it led me in circles till I felt like a jerk.

Happy ending, when I google I don't click any link associated with MSDN unless I'm in a tail chasing mood.

I agree that MSDN search is useless, but the documentation is indispensable.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

And there is the issue. Useless search on a trove of useless information, would hardly be frustrating.

Happened to me yesterday. I was looking for some information about hosted network and ad hoc wireless network and google link was for XP. MSDN quickly found out I was not on XP and gave me a link. It took me to landing page for any W7 related help. Before I noticed anything on that page, I closed it and went back to google for more specific search. Worked like charm.

I found that the links on the VS 2013 start page all go to a general page where they seem to be shouting at me...#define VISUAL_STUDIO! Why not just have one link?

Those four channel music modules originally for Amiga.
Isn't it amazing what could be done with four channels and eight bits!

I like the first version better with vid from the Amiga.
Update just has a picture of "space" ... booorriiinng!
Although, yes, the update is better sound quality.

Nope, my parents were to poor/ignorant to get me a computer as a kid, and as a grownup it was to late and I went down another track for some years (electronics).
But I had a friend that was active in the "Scene". He was ridiculously clever, pity he was aware of that.

Here in NE Wisconsin they are predicting -55°F with the Windchill tonight and tomorrow morning. In fact they've cancelled school today and tomorrow because they are telling people not to go outside.

Wow, that is fatal weather if exposed for very long at all. I understand why school is cancelled. Those kids would not stand a chance standing outside waiting for the bus.

Reminds me of a time 15-20 years ago in Phelps WI, me and a buddy went up ice fishing and the windchill was some ungodly value somewhere in the vicinity of -65°F, I've never worn so many layers of clothes, my glasses actually froze to my face  ,caught some nice walleye though.
