I'll be staying with my brother in Phoenix when we're not traveling, he's going on short trips with me as work permits and I'll wander off while he's working. But I may use his computer to process some of the pics and will post them, probably on Flickr...I'm MikeHankey1.

Have fun Mike! I understand you will be taking I-10. Try to avoid Houston at rush hour. The missus and I are in Waco visiting our daughter. We were stuck in traffic in Houston for an hour and a half on the way here...worst part of the trip.

Why in the world would anyone take I-10? I-40 is far more scenic, and you don't have to spend near as much time in Texas.

Yeah I-10 is a tad more drab but going to meet a trucker friend on I-10, she runs back and forth from FL and TX and going to meet for a meal, plus I want to stop at Carlsbad caverns and another place in S. NM and them a couple of parks around Tucson on my way to Phoenix. I've been I-40 and like it better but it's out of the way considering I'm starting my journey in Jacksonville, FL.

Ah, okay then. Be sure to stop by Rooster Cogburn's Ostrich Ranch just outside of Tucson. Great omelettes, if you don't mind cooking your own back at camp; big ones, too!
