Similar but different. Daughters camera...take piccy "normally" and get white. Take piccy with flash and OK. Outside, inside, same result. Camera in bin.  Not so bad as it was six years old and only a $150 jobbie.

Thanks for that - I must've loaded at nearly the last possible moment then. When I did it, I got the user's page and hence the old username, so it must've been deleted in the seconds between getting that page and asking for the articles list.
