You may be amused to learn that 15 years ago I walked away from a lot of VB3 code (also financial services) and thought I would never look back.
I recently "went back" on a short term contract. My mission? To convert that VB3 code (yep - still in production at that time) for use on Windows 7 ... to VB6 no less! 
Clearly I was some high-end criminal in a previous life and have now paid my dues!!

15 years ago we'd moved to VB5 or 6, can't remember exactly, but a lot of the code base was the same.

Several years ago when I briefly reentered the software field I reapplied at a company I used to work for where I had written a C++ application that handled their call center...major company, 350 agents, 5K calls/day and found that they were still using it. That was quite a thrill to learn that, but didn't get the job!
Along with Antimatter and Dark Matter they've discovered the existence of Doesn't Matter which appears to have no effect on the universe whatsoever!

Hi All,
You may know of my frustrations with a certain project...I need to ship the end user projects and the like for there use, I am using the DropBox public folder, like all DropBox users I have all sorts of junk in there and am not really sure if I have enough size available, so I have tried to use Media Fire for the project source, which was met with a "use dropbox, not media fire it doesn't work properly" this left me a little confused.
I don't really want to pay out of my own pocket for an upgrade....

If you go to the DropBox website and log in, then look at the top right of the page there is a "drop arrow" beside your name. Click that and you get a pop-up which tells you "XXMB of YYGB used", which should tell you what space you have.

Well the thingy says I have 2.4 GB of 3.75 GB used... I think I need more, how much is the question how much?
The Pro plan for £9.99 seems possible however I don't want to pay it!
I only started using DropBox for myself I kept forgetting memory sticks/cards and used it once to transfer some photos to the customer when he was at our office. Since then it's 'Glenn is set up to do big file transfers...'

If it's for work, then get the company to set up it's own account, or do it for them, and start with free (that's what, 2GB minimum these days?). If the account needs more, then that's the company problem, and the company needs to pay! Certainly, I see no reason why you should pay $10/month to store/transfer company data...
All you need to start an account is a valid email, IIRC...hang on...yep - 2GB immediately for an email account.

That's how I have got more than I started with, however nearly everyone I know has it already... that's why I looked at Media Fire for the projects, but they can't use it.
