But I suppose if your single, or with a partner and no kids it's a good idea if you want to save yourself time and effort. As long as it's properly pointed out what your doing.

I think xbox and PS got in trouble recently because they saved your details on FIFA. What was happening was parents were agreeing to buy there kids a £2 player update, and the 1st time they had to enter their details, but after that it remembered them. So kids were running up bills of thousands of pounds, just by clicking a button.

That is why the kids (or the wife) do not get near my PC's / Laptops and they do not have my account passwords to get onto the computer.

They have their own laptops/tablets/chromebooks etc. sort their own problems out!

On my tv box, you have to enter a four-digit password to change the video signal settings or to add the ability of showing subtitles, but subscribing to paying channels for 12+ months contracts only requires two keys to be hit on the remote control.

Time and effort? How often do you buy something on FleaBay or any other online platform? I don't care if I have to login to PayPal etc. on that rare occasion....

Me, never bought anything from them. But the missus buys clothes from there and other similar sites quite regularly and she has a credit card she uses solely for the internet and nothing else. She can never find the card when she wants to buy something so this would save her not only the time entering the details but also the time looking for the card.

Well... if the TV itself has no buttons (or no buttons except maybe volume up/down and channel up/down) you're pretty limited without a remote. Wink | ;)

Besides, you don't have to (physically) search for a paypal account (yeah, you may forget your login details. But that is, I think, another issue).

Oh and I have a credit card too, which I solely use for the internet. It's a prepaid one. And I otherwise NEVER pay with a credit card. (I mislike the idea of only needing a number to be able to pay for something. Sure, there is a security number on the back of the card. Good thing you have to provide that value to any shop you wan't to pay something for too Roll eyes | :rolleyes:

As for the Ebay/Paypal thing.......they are the 'same company'*1, mine has been linked for a loooong time. Never had any problems.

All these payment services certainly make life easier I have found. Today I even paid for a Kickstarter pledge using Amazon Payment services, i.e. my normal Amazon Account.

Given we are in the UK, we are pretty well protected by all the various consumer protection laws, so if something was to happen, the Bank or the CC company need to sort it out.

*1 - Ok, from a legal standpoint they are not, but you know what I mean!

I didn't know that - still not sure I want to do it though. The Paypal account has access direct to my bank account, the FleaBay one doesn't. I'd be a lot less happy to be logged in permanently with FleaBay if I connected them.

When the competitors arrange a "sit-down-strike" because drug testing is going to involved in future, you know the sport is rife with it. And I suspect that the situation hasn't changed that much - if Armstrong could escape detection for that long then you can bet he isn't the only one... Sigh | :sigh:

And other sports ? C'mon chaps lets not be myopic , drugs are going to follow the money . Not arguing that cycling is clean , just that wendyball , rugby , golf , American rugby , American rounders and lets throw the ball in the hoop are all rife with it too.

Cycling (and Athletics) are rife with it because they are heavily weighted towards strength and stamina rather than skill compared too other sports, and you can get strength and stamina from drugs, but they don't do skill. I know there is a certain amount of skill involved in cycling but at the end of the day, the person who can rotate those pedals the fastest for the longest time is going to win. Drugs can help you do that.

In Football say, you only have to last 90 mins, this is easy to do without drugs. Drugs might give you a slight advantage in giving you better stamina meaning you've got a bit more energy than you might have towards the end of the game, but it aint going to help you put the ball in the net. I'm guessing the amount of participants for the World Cup is about the same as the Tour De France, there will be more drug cheats at the latter.

BTW you missed Tennis, Rafeal Nadal is the biggest cheat out there. That guy is so obviously on drugs it's ridiculous.

Also for succesful and detection free doping you need a lot of money and a lot of time and dedication.

Footballers might have lots of money, but they prefer spending it in something flashier than a chemist.

Performance enhancing drugs are far more likely in individual sports, because it is just you who will make it to the top or not.

I am surprised more footballers don't fail recreational drugs tests.
