I got a red eye arriving Sunday midday
I ran around like a blue arsed fly all day Monday till about 9pm.
I flew out Tuesday am.
I got no further west than Burwood and by 9pm on Monday I was knackered. There was not time for even a reasonably amount of drinking.

I received a phone call this morning from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend who called 'out-of-the-blue' to see if I was still around.
We lost track of time, chatting about the wild, romantic times we used to enjoy together.
I couldn't believe it when she asked if I'd be interested in meeting up and rekindling a little of that 'old magic'.
'Wow!' I was flabbergasted.
'I don't know if I could keep pace with you now', I said, 'I'm a bit older and a bit grayer and balder than when you last saw me. Plus I don't really have the energy I used to have.'
She just giggled and said she was sure I would 'rise to the challenge'.
'Yeah.' I said. 'Just so long as you don't mind a waistline that's a few inches wider these days!
Not to mention my total lack of muscle tone...everything is sagging, my teeth are a bit yellowed and I am developing jowls like a Great Dane!'
She laughed and told me to stop being so silly.
She teased me saying that tubby, gray haired, older men were cute, and she was sure I would still be a great lover.
Anyway, she giggled and said, 'I've put on a few pounds myself!'
So I told her to f*** off. 
Once you lose your pride the rest is easy.

New specs:
Core i7
16GB ram
sata3 ssd
1080p screen
Am I a happy developer today! Surprisingly it's more screen than anything else which is really making the difference (although it is insanely fast as well, eats and sh*ts Visual Studio with ReSharper)

I have a whole slew of machines...
Two Core i7 desktops, one is a Gateway gamer machine the other is a gamer machine put together by a one of the companies that advertises on TigerDirect, one older Pentium processor gamer desktop that I don't use much anymore plus I have a Core i3 laptop that I run Linux on, and two Linux servers that run services (source control and file share).
I used to have an SSD on my Linux laptop but I had RedHat on that and switched over to another drive with Ubuntu on it (kept the old RedHat but haven't used it since I swapped).
