We had someone who rolled on the floor at work.
Turned out he was having a seizure and was off sick for a year afterwards.
Wasn't much fun to be honest.

Is anyone using Fractal Edge[^]. I did a POC about 4 years ago but never progressed as the maintenance of KPIs was a PITA. There does not seem to be much activity on their web site and I'm wondering about their support.

I've never used of it, but had a very quick look at the link you provided.
It looks to be a graphical area map chart control, using circles embedded in circles. IMHO, it is a terrible way to display data.
Humans are not good at determining the relative sizes of two circles, should we compare area or radius? Is this area twice or three times the size of another area?
Look at any best practice on how to visually represent data, and you will find this type of presentation is significantly less effective than the standard, basic line/bar charts. (The Tufte books are brilliant at discussing, explaining and illustrating this type of stuff).

Actually it is a combination of size, colour and depth that tell different aspects of the data, quite effective for generalisations. We already have all the charts and graphs and dials we want thank you, I'm looking for something a little different, management does like shiny!
The POC I did was most impressive to identify trends and issues arising in almost real time, it was the maintenance on the KPIs that killed the project. Management are once again looking for shiny so I'm thinking to give it another go but want to see if there are any issues with the product (support).

Not sure what it's called, but I'd like to make a slideshow movie from some photo's, add some text, little background music...
Something like:
[Black screen]
[Music starts]
[Text fades in]
"Our vacation to country X!"
[Few seconds later text fades out]
[First picture fades in]
[Text fades in]
"We had so much fun in this place!"
[Few seconds later text fades out]
[Text fades in, maybe an arrow too]

... You get the point.
Not for YouTube or anything, just personal use.
Would be great if it was an offline editor as well since my internet connection is pretty slow.
I guess by now you also know I've never done anything like that, so it should be really very simple to use.
Output should be wmv, mov or any commonly used movie format.
Anyone know of a good program that does what I want?
