In Genesis, '6' is the number of man (the day man was created). '7' is the number of God. 6 x 7 = 42, so the answer is god elaborated as man: namely, the little baby Jesus!!!!!

Birds: could be a specific type of bird - hens, parrots, whatever? Too many to choose from!
Dance: could be a type of dance or could indicate an anagram - but of what? Too many dances to choose! Jig, twist, waltz...
Cocktails: Not many cocktails of either one word or at least one short word - martini for example leaves only 5 letters for the bird dance bit!
Without me: A cocktail without the letters ME - I can't think of one WITH the letters ME !
