As if! We're staying with friends in the 18th arrondissement. Yesterday we did the loo, sorry Louvre, and say the miserable bitch a.k.a. Moaning Liz. Today was the much better, in my bloody good opinion, Musee d'Orsey with more impressionists than a Mike Yarwood tribute night. The poor minions, and Mrs Wife, were slightly put out by the fact that most of the paintings I could at least name the artist, without looking, and the period. I enjoyed my day. Now I am catching up on e-mail and wine consumption; not necessarily in that order.

It's a lot smaller than most people expect. (And the painting, fnaaa, fnaaa)
And the queue to get in is normally a load of fun...I preferred the Venus de Milo, if only because you could get close enough to really see it.

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

I have been a (Green Bay) Packers fan for over 40 years.
In response to an egregious incident that occurred in yesterday's game, I posted this in the "comments" section of packers.com:
"DonkeyKong Sioux and Dumbhick Crayola are the two dirtiest players in the NFL. Those two cats make whoever is the 3rd dirtiest player look like Anne of Green Gables."
This was in reference to Ndamokung Suh and Dominic Raiola, who have both been suspended for deliberately stomping on opposing players' ankles (Raiola for an incident against the Bears last week, and Suh for the aforementioned incident yesterday).
I subsequently attempted to post another comment on packers.com (this morning), and was advised that it could not be posted, because I had been blocked!
I admit that what I had written was somewhat caustic, but block-worthy? Why?

I thought the "Lounge" was the catch-all place; like the old "non-technical" on the Delphi forums.

Why? It's sports, not religion or politics. Although, arguably, people can treat it as such. But they have cricket posts in the lounge, so I don't see the harm in this.

Why not ask there? The chances of anyone here having sufficient knowledge to answer this are pretty darned small.

Probably because as he stated in his post, he attempted to say something there and couldn't as he was blocked/banned.

And yet that has never stopped people here creating a new account to ask, or emailing the site admins.

To be fair, somehow you were popular enough for us to petition for your ban to be lifted. It's a puzzler.

So that we can all tell him that even if he's banned from posting on sport websites, here we still love him.

I admire your courage.
Actually I admire Packer's fans. I couldn't care less about the game but the Packer's fans are true fans unlike many fair-weather fans of competing teams.
But to answer your question, too many people have the mistaken idea that they have a right to not have their feelings hurt. They need a good slapping if you ask me.
