I met my personal goal two days ago ... that I set out to reach a year ago ... of expressing my appreciation for twelve years of life with Bob by getting my CP rep over 100k, and getting my rep as Authority equal to my rep as Debator.
I would like to believe that I have written many answers to other programmer's questions ... which include tested code and commented code ... that will have some enduring value. And, I admit to enjoying (but not becoming auto-intoxicated by) the regular up-voting of questions I answered years ago.
I consider this a "small crawl for mankind"  And, my goal ... for life with Bob ... for next year, is to back-pedal on QA answering, and to focus on writing articles for CP.
This flea has had a fine year, indeed: learned a lot, was inspired often, enjoyed merriment and entertainment, as well as good fellowship; connected with a few more kindred souls who I believe will become friends even though they may never appear in-the-flesh here in the Land of Elephants.
After 881 lunations, I do not ask for more than this !
So, may I wish you, and your families, a brilliant New Year.
May we all bask, exuberantly but peacefully, in the Sun of Bob for another year.

Hi Friends, We have a requirement to develop a windows forms application that needs to work online and offline modes. Our clients can be able to sync data from online to local database and they can be able to use them offline and later they can sync all the local data to online.
We have tried using xml database as local database, but because of internet bandwidth and number of records our sync is taking too long (arround 40 mins), we are thinking to use SQlite or SQL Compact.
Can anyone suggest best approach to do this.

I'd start by learning to read...
There is text at the top of the page which clearly says:

If I didn't want to annoy people that I wanted help from, I'd start by reading that and following what it said...

Your best approach is to post a more detailed question in one of CodeProject's Forums for technical discussion, like one of the QA Forums, or one of the Web Development Forums, or one of the Database SysAdmin Forums.

After 12 days of steady ops followed by 2 days of hell, it is time to await the arrival of the paraffin budgie. Should be here in 2.5hrs.
Handover written, desk is cleared, ppe is stored away.....just scoffed bacon sanny, toast and tea. Just need to get rid of this stinking headache. I would be gulping down cold water if I wasn't due to be flying, but don't want to pee myself on the flight! The cabin was far too warm last night and think I have cooked my skull and the brain is dehydrated.
Should get back to the house and have a few hours peace before 'they' get back. At least the youngest wont be running around like a nutter, she apparently badly sprained her ankle the other day after sprinkling herself with fairy dust and jumping off a bed trying to fly....wonder if that has anything to do with Peter Pan being on the telly the other day.
Quiet night and tomorrow is gearing up for a houseful on the 2nd

Try fresh air, instead of fresh water - it may help and no pee problem...

That means going outside and can't do that. I am in my going home gear and my PPE has all been put away for the trip. I'm sure once I get on the chopper it will clear, the fresh air and snooze on the way in will do wonders.

Try an ice-pack on the top of your head, or try to lick a lemon slice...Both known to help...
