Nope: just a new master socket and face plate splitter, as a quick rummage around in the roadside cabinet.
Half an hour or so and I'm configuring all the wireless devices to use the new WiFi.

Is it a home hub unit from BT?
If so, I hope they have increased the maximum number of devices permitted to be connected. My HH3 crapped out at 20.
I removed it in the end and now have the OpenReach device connected directly into a Ubiquiti Edgerouter.

No - I don't know what the latest version of that is like, but the early couple of versions were truly awful: built to a very low price and put in a pretty box.
It's a TalkTalk SuperRouter: a badged Huawei HG635
The menu system is certainly easier to work with than the Belkin it replaced.

When we moved into our current house, we wired every room with ethernet, and use wireless for the laptops/ipads/phones. We use TimeWarner for internet, and immediate replaced the craptastic modem they give out (that allows almost NO administrative configuration at all) with a much more capable 3rd party unit along with a 16-port switch.
I recently moved the home theater NAS, database, and web server boxes into a 3rd (unused) bedroom so it would stay cooler and quieter in our office.

Time Warner just upgraded my internet (for free!!!) and gave us a new modem which is excellent (surprisingly for TWC). We also have wired and wireless which works very well.

Well, yesterday we finally took down our Christmas Tree. It is normal for us to keep it going until late January but this year was an exception.
However, to ensure there is no change of mind I have just incinerated the b'tard and all her pesky needles.

Curiously, Nagy isn't as late as you might think. Christmastide is actually over at Candlemass (Feb 2nd), though the period between twelfth night (Epiphany day) and Candlemass is called Epiphany Season.

As was Metaldays two years ago. Last concert - Candlemass, a perfect ending to a very interesting week.

Must have been the combination of the atmosphere and just the right amount of beer.
