Mars is only 38% the gravity on Earth. If your bathroom scales read 100 Kg on Earth (mine used to ...a long, long time ago in a far off galaxy.. but I digress), it would only read 38 Kg on Mars.
It may be possible to create artificial wings and fly using human muscle power only - I would go in a heartbeat.
Plus, being on the heavy side myself, everything would be more comfortable, walking, sleeping, sitting, flying!!!!! yeah!
