We were doing the tourist thing on Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, in a zodiac about 50 mtr from the face of the glacier when there was the largest calving they had seen in many months, about 400 mtr of the face slowly dropped into the lagoon, one of the most awesome sights I have ever seen or expect to see.

While we got some photos, after the event, the video was not usable, something about the platform racing away from the falling cliff of ice detracted from the artistic content!
The fact that we all stood in stunned silence, except the boatman, may also have had something to do with it.

I tired of it, but seem to have returned with a vengeance.
Black forest ham + spicy Genoa salami + thick German rye (lightly toasted and buttered) + vine ripened tomatoes and thinly sliced English cucumber. To die for.
