Tithe, one of my favorite words. Every time I hear or read that word I picture a posh Englishman talking about mammaries and not taxes.

You have a very odd understanding of the way English nobs speak then (or a decidedly one track mind)!

Work these days is regularily interfering with my responsibilities here on CP.
There you go:
I hear you, Greek! I prophesy a rethorical strategy! (9)
Let's see how fast this one will be cracked!
Hint 1: What's up? Too challenging for you elephanting sunshines?
Hint 2: Eloquent, playful and seemingly harmless phrasing, yet devastating connotation!
Cheers!

Yes, but it's quite marginal.
I've changed it from "a form of rethoric" to "rethorical strategy",

Cheers!

No, that's not it, sorry!
If you think that grievance is a rethorical strategy you've been reading to much Q&A!
Cheers!

Definite pathos applies when dealing with QA contributors. There's real suffering there.

Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

It took you you whole life so far to realise that?

It seems quite a few of us are "Master Debators", myself included.

You have just been Sharapova'd.

I didn't say I noticed very quickly - to be honest I'm not a reputation whore, so check it, quite rarely (understatement), generally when I click the wrong thing in the header.

Is that still going? I remember back in the 80s Viz was something of a required read where I was working.
