- Open Regedit;
- Navigate to
HKLM\Software(\WOW6432Node)\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion; - Create or change the
REG_SZ value called RegisteredOrganization to something more sensible;
Now all future projects created on that computer will have the correct company name in both attributes. 
Depending on the version of Visual Studio, you might need to make some other registry changes if you want the splash screen to display the correct company:
