CodeProject goes .NET

Evidently "It Just Works"

With the increase in traffic and the beta 1 release of Microsoft's .NET SDK, Code Project has been upgraded to a new server. The current box is a dual 800MHz with 1Gb RAM running Windows 2000 Advanced Server and .NET beta 1, connected to a dual 450MHz box with 512Mb RAM running Windows 2000 Server and SQLServer 7. Soon we'll be adding a mirrored web server (same specs) and a mirrored SQL Server. While you shouldn't expect the entire site to instantly be full of .aspx pages instead of the old .asp pages, there will certainly be movement to ASP.NET and C#/VB7 for the site's scripts as we settle into the cosy, garbage collected world of .NET.
