Hi everybody,

Does somebody know how windows X apps will be structured? I heard about universal apps. Are they similar to Windows 8.1 applications with the same restrictions (IE. Controlled background tasks, suspension and so forth) or more similar to WPF? And does somebody know if Microsoft will permit easy app installation with a package (like a setup or a wpf application) or they will keep the windows store.

Another final question: does windows x support WPF applicatiom development?

Thanks in advance.

Try asking on MSDN forums...

Yes, It's my doubt too. I will be happy if these new Universal Windows Apps (win 10 version of then) can share some code from a WPF application.

Nowadays, we have here a ERP built into WPF engine, and the ideia is to expand functionalities for more devices, like a tablet or phone "Point of Sale".

Yeah. I personally don't like Windows 8 applications, so I've never started to learn how to build them: they run too strict rules (such as forced suspension, no background execution UNLESS "asked" and so forth) and I do not like the way they work in general as a final user. For istance: I really like drag & drop between applications and I like to work with a lot of applications on my desktop. I cannot imagine applications such as a text editor, an image/photo editor or an IDE to be developed as a Windows 8 application.
