I am trying to install a VS 2008 application msi Setup on a 64 bit system. All works fine but Sql Server Express 2005 fails because in prerequisite dialog it only offer x86 version and no x64 version. In checkbox I clicked sql server 2005 express edition sp2 (X86)

So what should I install instead of that ?

The following error message i am getting
ERROR:
Sql Server not found
-----------------
Service not found. Its probably not installed.[exception=Service MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS was not found on the computer

You probably need to uninstall SQL EXpress and re-install separately. Please note that SQL Server express setup do not have separate x64 setup. it runs on a x64 systems under WOW (Windows On Windows) Check below url
