Persistence in Windows workflow correlation

I am developing asp.net MVC application which i need to implement persistent in workflow correlation.I have to implement approval and reject process using correlation.I already worked on correlation in workflow. basically it will save the state of the workflow temporarily.

But i want to implement persistancy in the correlation project by saving the present workflow state in SQL.Basically to implement correlation,i use workflow service application instead of workflow library.So suggest me some steps and code to implement persistency in workflow correlation.
