SAML in Cakpehp Application

I have a cakephp application and I was trying to use CakePHP-simpleSAMLphp-Plugin in my cakephp application. But this plugin, according to my understanding, requires simpleSAMLphp installation on my system and simpleSAMLphp will be a different server. It means I should have two servers: My cakephp application server and simpleSAMLphp server.

I want to know whether there is other option available rather than creating separate saml server? Instead creating separate saml server, I should be able to use any saml plugin in my cakephp application and use that plugin somehow?

Any help will be appreciated.
