Hi there, am developing an asp.net website which i feel should have a textBox and search button so as i can be able to search through google.com while using my site controls and at the same time have the search results returned in my site on a page other other navigating away to google.

I believe he wants a search functionality, which will give result from his website only, not like the google search. The google search API enables us to harness the google search capability in our custom application, which in turn searches the whole web.

He clearly said in his post that he want a text box and button so that he can search usimg google.com. But maybe I misunderstood

Do you mean provide a search mechanism on you page for your entire site?

If that is what you are trying to do, Google has something called Google Custom Search.
