Specific requirement Firefox Extension Help

Hello Everybody,

My Firefox extension requirement is that whenever i double click on any word anywhere in the webpage(Note:on text inside textbox too) the word needs to be selected and also XHR request is fired for same..

when the result is arrived it is to be shown as popup at particular place where my word was selected...

Everything is complete except that i am not getting the selected text from Text box or any user control on page and also sometime the pop up's position is not correct in case when i select a word from text area in web-page.

Please help me out from this 2 problems... I'm stuck with this issue from past one week.... :doh:
