I've had visual studio for 1 month and it has been working fine but all of a sudden today, I get this error message.

"Unable to start Debugging. The debugger is not properly installed. Run Setup to install or repair the debugger."

I've tried googleing this but the only errors I could find were when people recently installed visual studio. My debugger has been working fine until now. I've tried reinstalling the packets but that hasn't helped. I've tried repairing visual studio and that hasnt helped either. Any ideas on what else I can do?

I am using visual studio 2008, windows 7 and running on IIS

Have you checked you web.config? Is debug enabled?

Are you able to start the web site from IIS/localhost and then attach to it from the IDE and debug?

I tried that and it didn't work. The error is slightly different format too.
I have solved it but it required me to do a system restore back to 1 week ago. For whatever reason it worked fine then and not now. I wish I could be of more help to people that have this problem but this was the only solution I could find.
