So I've been successful with this awesome AT wav etc, but I'm integrating this into a server and the modem I had is broken (replies ERROR's with all the AT commands programmed). What surprises me is that the USR 5637 isn't compatible with the AT commands. So I'm tasked with finding a modem to implement.

The requirements are pretty light compared to a lot of the req'ments others have used voice modems for. So I do want the best in capabilities, but at minimum the app must be able to dial a phone number, hit an extension, and then simply leave a message and hangup. Sort of an alert method for specific departments.

Anyone have a suggestion on the best modem?

(Sorry about tags, seems like I must hit 1 character to begin intellisensing the tag but is there a way to simply browse all tags without going through the alphabet?

Not a software question, essentially, so this is off-topic.
