settings page is not appear in sharepoint master page

I am using a custom MasterPage instead of v4.master page , when i am deleting custom list field in SharePoint site it is deleted but it doesn't show menu in settings page.I added one usercontrol which contails menu with four levels in div tag or content placeholder tag.

If any one gives this solution i appropriate u.

How are you editing, in the browser, in SPD, with VS? When does the error appear? You have given very little information.
