Large diagrams automatic layout algorithm in silverlight

Hi everyone here！

I want to make a control which can automatic layout elements in a canvas.After searching from google I found that force-directed algorithm can implement automatic layout.I have looked at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force-based_algorithms[^] , but i don't really understand how this algorithm is realized. Could someone explain how this algorithm works? Or maybe some source code demo?
